Learn the fundamentals of writing comics from a 15-year veteran of the comics industry. Lilah Sturges has written over 350 issues of comics: for Marvel, DC, Oni, IDW, Legendary, Boom! and others. She won a PRISM Award in 2019, and has been nominated for the Eisner, Ignatz, and GLAAD Media awards.
In six 90-minute online sessions, you’ll learn fundamental aspects of how to:
- create a comics script
- break down a story for comics
- write descriptions and dialog
- pitch to editors
- navigate the comics industry
The cost of the class is $225. Multiply-marginalized people may take the class for a discounted price ($150). Multiply-marginalized typically refers to LGBTQIA+ people of color, but may also include disability, age, etc. My goal is to err on the side of making the class accessible to marginalized folks.
